for more information see www.slwoodstock.com. Woodstock at 40 is a 4-day celebration of the original event in 1969, from August 14 - August 17 2009. Over 90% of the original music will be played in the Blue Nile region of the Virtual World of Second Life. Photographer Eddi Haskell created this photo montage of the first night, combining his photography with Melanie Safka's classic Woodstock hit "Beautiful People".

Please note: Although this is the first "day" of the Festival in the Virtual World of Second Life, the music, together with the music played on Woodstock at 40 Day 1 corresponds together to music played on the first full day (Saturday) of the Woodstock event which began at 3:00 a.m. that day in 1969.
